Course Objective:

 

CompTIA A+ certification validates the latest skills needed by today’s computer support professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers.

 

Prerequisite:

An Intermediate level of English.

Outline:
  • Meaning of data in the binary world, Safety issues, basic principles of CPUs.
  • The principle of the M/B + importance, and RAM types and importance.
  • Basic computer data drives: HDD, ODD, FDD.
  • The VGA: Graphical data representation, and Monitors.
  • Other important devices for pc stability: Cases, PSUs, Cooling Systems.
  • Other hardware accessories: Sound cards, LANs and WANs (networking), Printers, Modems, Input Devices (mouse and keyboard).
  • Assemble the computer and test (instructor).
  • Assemble the computer and test (student) + discussion about PC classes and genders (manufacturers).
  • Complete computer hardware assembly and Install Operating System.
  • Install Drivers and Install applications, plus focusing on the parts of the OS that concerns an A+ student.
  • Check hardware malfunctions (maybe during PC assembly) and software issues (after OS is installed).
  • Questions with final discussions and a review for whole course.
